gen 5 starters took the longest to grow on me and even then i usually end up just replacing my starter in every playthrough. gen 4 empoleon's cool because he's part steel and i like that you can have a starter that gets a steel subtype. it's cool.
Sceptile is def the best Gen 3 evolved form start. Aa. So cool. And typhlosion. And probably charizard. Hmph you're good. I don't know empoleon/emboar though. Greninja can be cool, he's on my pokemon showdown team.

frankly, i don't think blaziken is that cool. i think he's cooler than swampert though.

i am a mod because i want to make this site better and more enjoyable for people. in that sense, it's fun i guess. reports aren't really that bad at all and any ex-mod/current mod who makes a big deal out of them is exaggerating. the real energy sucker comes out of either doing cheating pastebins on the competition, trying to lobby for bigger site changes (rule changes, stuff like the lobby merge, etc.). in that sense, it ain't too fun. but, i care and finding people who care about this site sincerely can be a rarity, so i feel at least marginally obligated to do my job and do it well.
so, it can be fun, and when it's not fun, i let myself take it on as a responsibility. long-winded answer.
