With a journalist or protective role in the setup, don't beg the sheriff to shoot you "TO CONFIRM TWO." It's not optimal. And if you're sheriff, don't shoot the cop.
Ask the god damned guilty to claim, if they're a blue claim shoot them. If they're not a blue claim get CCs.
Shooting the guilty has a higher potential for reward. If the cop with the guilty is fake, you shot a blue on mylo, nbd. You lynch the fake cop, real cop dies WITH JOURNALIST REPORT, or cop gets saved if protective role.
If the cop with the guilty is real, you just killed two mafia and still get another report.
It's the safe play and the high risk high reward play.
That's about it.

pseudo optimal strategy is like a superstition
for example, in ancient times, when ultra hyper noobs didnt understand the teachings of the pranay tier smart people, the pranay tier smart people had to use pseudo rules to make the noobs follow the right path.
elaboration--
teaching-- during the monsoon season, no matter how good you cook your food, the bacteria and virus in the non vegetarian materials are prevalent enough to harm your body.
but the stupid noobs didnt buy this and started dying of diseases for example bird flu
pseudo rule-- if you eat non vegetarian food during these 30 days, god will be mad at you
automatically every idiot believed pranay was god, and was giving them diseases. so to keep pranay happy they avoided eating non vegetarian food in that time span each year
over time it became the optimal move for no real reason.
even though there are very advanced cooking and storage apparatus these days. some idiots still follow that rule.
the same way, the noobs in training lobby didnt understand why they should not lynch on mylo some times. so they were given a rule. "dont lynch on mylo" -- everybody followed that-- and if once in a while some smart people pointed out that lynching on mylo can be optimal in some cases, everybody lost their minds.
they lynch for 2 mafia on ml in classic. so they do the same in 3 maf setups. because that is how the teachings were passed. people are bad at subjective gaming so they need some objective rules for playing. those pseudo rules account for a lot of meta data. which i exploit every game. as mafia i make town nl by pointing out mylo even though some times it is not optimal to nl
that's not a pranay strategy. you cant put a name on a "strategy" that you didn't invent

exactly-- people are so obsessed with odds, that they always go for the pseudo optimal strategy (lynching based on best outcome regardless of who is mafia) instead of the pranay optimal strategy (lynching based on best outcome if you are right about your read)
elaboration on pranay optimal strategy- find mafia--assume your fos is right, and then decide what is the optimal move-- it means that if you have 2 fos, then you need to decide which one is an optimal lynch. or which lynch might give you an autowin. in some cases you may not know the mafia, and some lynch (regardless of who is mafia) may give you autowin. that is the case where you can ignore your read. because it doesnt matter who you lynch then(town or maf)--- but if you lynch a town to get 2 mafia or any amount of mafia which does not give you a certain win, then you are riddler tier bad
