now that is the depth of evil

One cop did it, not all. I have seen many cops apologize to Brown's family, I believe there is a universal sorrow at what had happened.

A doctor and a nurse nearby begged to be able to perform CPR on him but the officer wouldn't let them

Just fyi
CharlesMarkabout 12 years ago
because the first 5 bullets didnt kill him maybe?
MeIodyabout 12 years ago
Just a bit of information just released tonight as far as I know, I know it was released Brown was shot 'a number of times' but tonight was the first I heard an actual number: 6.

The cops started it; they deserve it. Plain and simple. It was a peaceful protest which was broken up by unwarranted attacks on innocents. If you attack someone, they should and will fight back.

They've been firing rubber bullets into the crowds for days idk what you're on Carly
if you havnt noticed, she is a sweet girl that wants everyone to be friends and love each other and wants to believe the best about people. there is nothing wrong with that. its admirable

I'm not trying to be for or against anyone, but still, I defend cops protecting themselves.
MeIodyabout 12 years ago
Have you seen what they've done too the cops, too =P shots were fired tonight, not by cops. Molotov (spelling?) cocktail was thrown at cops tonight.
CharlesMarkabout 12 years ago
usually thats how they try to incite all out chaos so they have an excuse to end the protest

If they were less protected, it would invite more shots. I have no problem with the people who are supposed to protect us protecting themselves.

Just my opinion. They have done a good job with holding their guns and not using them. Not sure they've shot anyone--the person shot last night was not done by police.
but this all started because a black man was shot by police for no reason last week
MeIodyabout 12 years ago
Obviously talking about holding their guns /since/ the shooting of Michael Brown*

The police are basically acting like military at this point. Paramilitarization of the police force leads to the turning of American suburbs into warzones, in short. Soldiers in Iraq had less body armor than these guys have.
ya the DOD bribes them with all that equipment so that they can install their method of training cops to be soulless monsters

is there a solution though? do we have to descend into anarchy to rebuild our society? i hope not

ya i know :) still venting. not AT you... you are just here.

Definitely not saying the protests are bad. Just saying I am surprised that, with such a mass of angry people, more damage hasn't happened.
CharlesMarkabout 12 years ago
over here the result was lame. 20 people picketing and a police officer suspended with pay ended it. tbh looting would have been preferable
CharlesMarkabout 12 years ago
people need a way to express their grievances when they feel like they have no-one to turn to
MeIodyabout 12 years agoedited
From what I see, I am actually impressed more people have not been injured. I mean, you have a huge line of policemen and a huge crowd of angry protesters--it's just scary. While I'm disappointed looting occurred, I'm glad it was looting instead of attacks.

Ty =) I love my city very much, and seeing this just makes me want to cry because, I mean, I'm seeing the news on my TV and it looks like a war zone, not peaceful America. It's just so not what everyone wants and loves. The whole situation, in my opinion, has been exceedingly unfortunate to everyone involved.
CharlesMarkabout 12 years ago
tbh i hope they purge the police department with minimal casualties to civilians. not really. police are people too. i just want the bullsh*t to stop
CharlesMarkabout 12 years ago
that is a good point, im just mad whenever i think about it. sending my love to St Louis
