Here is an example : https://epicmafia.com/game/3307128/review

I am not experienced so I would like to know other people point of view about that !

Thank you :)

Poll
The situation is : - 2 towns - 2 mafias - 1 fool Is it cheating to explicitly tell the maf as a fool : "Vote for me, we will both win (joint win) ?"

Fool TOWNSIDING is the low move, not mafiasiding.

Fool's win condition is to /get lynched/. The town "pity points" shouldn't have been added in the first place for fool and lyncher.

If a third party can joint with town or mafia to accomplish its intended win condition (like warlock for example) then perfect for them, they can feel free to choose.

But I still fail to see why fool was given the town pity points

stop imposing your wrong opinions onto everybody else

lets be real. if you DO care about overall points (which i cant understand) you will be better off in the long run just jointing with whoever your friend is
CharlesMarkabout 12 years ago
you cant get an achievement from jointing with mafia. also hardly anyone actually cares about points when it comes to deciding if you are going to stab your meta-buddies in the back or not

Hate to say this but pranay is right; fool has a 110 point motive for mafsiding.
the only possible benefits of points are in a competition and when you are farming points to get to a competition. since you can't use thirds in comp anymore, the actual time someone will be motivated by points instead of by who their friends are is negligible
People like points, hadn't you noticed? Also, the achievement is far from negligible.

in a competition...

it was my opinion that fool jointing with town (not mafia, as OP has asked) should be considered cheating, as it was almost always because they were playing for the condition of their friends trophy.

No, I don't see myself contradicting myself. Point don't interfere with win condition, so my statement is correct. Fool can win with either alignment, nobody cares the slightest how many points that fool will recieve (maybe the fool, respectively.)

You can't convince a fool to win with you if that fool decided he wants to win with his friends as town, not with you as mafia.

>in the slightest

>only points

do you see yourself contradict yourself??????

also it is an aspect of the game--- you need to know the trick to get the fool on yourside.. it is a challenge, not a downside---

if this is a downside then mafia having the power to kill at night is also a downside

stop imposing your wrong opinions onto everybody else.

this guy just asked if it was allowed, and you were supposed to tell him yes it is.

try and think beyond what you can see

It is a downside to give one player the right to decide which party wins, when it doesn't affect his win condition in the slightest (only points).
mandevianabout 12 years ago
its no downside, its an aspect
dezeriaeabout 12 years ago
No, this is the downside of third party roles, the fool can decide who he wants to win with and use this to decide the outcome of the game.
