i agree it has its uses, and i apologize for the comments i made. i was planning on posting this and removing my posts prior to lucid saying he meant Mimic... again, i really didn't mean to be rude but i didn't like how u automatically assumed it wasnt the role with higher karma that was to be picked.

But it should be a good role for mafia too, in the case with detectives. He could "copy" the detective and he'll know his role in the morning, or he'll know who the detective is.
It's like a stalker, kind of, only he actually visits whoever the person he chose visits.
And it's good for tracker/watcher setups to confuse townies.

This would actually be a better town sided role in my opinion. Its a role that can confirm peoples roles and create clears. Mafia cannot Counter Claim a PR with a living Mime. They cc Cop, Mime claims asks for Doc protection and checks one of the cops at night. Next day he knows whether the person he checked was a Cop or not based on what kind of report he gets back. Mafia sided Mime does not do anything that a Disguiser or other visiting Mafia role could not already do but better.

Simple and good, you should Aligne it with the Mafia though, could be good for smaller Setups, with a Fool / Godfather in play. Tracker / Watcher would have a "guilty" on the Mime, and spread quite the confusion. This might be a bit overpowered, but I still like the role

You should make it town sided, and they can 'borrow' the role the next night. All hooker rules apply.

I see how this could be used to take a hit for a PR when there is a Scout or a Lookout in play, but there are so few times when this role would be useful, especially since it's useless by itself.

I think the role is more Mafia-sided than Town-sided. Can probably be used to confuse Watchers/Trackers kind of like Fool. The Mafia-sided Mime can also find out who the cop is I guess if he gets a report, helping the Mafia.

EXAMPLES: The mime chooses cop. The mime visits whoever cop visits and recorded the same report, but mime doesn't get to pick who to investigate. (same for any other investigating role)
The mime chooses fool. The mime visits whoever the fool visits.
The mime chooses mafia. The mime visits the target and kills them. (nobody extra is killed, just extra help for the mafia)
