Welcome to Detectives and Criminals IV! Post below to sign up. There are some changes from the game before. Would like to try this with 10 players as a change, but if we can only get 8, that's okay!

The players are secretly divided into two teams, the Detective Team and the Criminal Team.

The Detectives know the name of the Informant, who appears to be a Criminal but is a traitor and is actually sided with the Detectives.

The Criminals know the name of the Mole, who appears to be a Detective but is a traitor and is actually sided with the Criminals.

Winning (modified; please read)

A suitcase is on the ground containing one million dollars.

To win the game, your team must be the first team to reveal all of its players including the traitor. When that happens, both teams will decide who they believe who is their traitor.

If the team that reveals all its members first guesses their traitor correctly, they win the game, regardless of whether the opposing team guesses their traitor right or not.

If both teams fail to find their traitor, the team that has all its members revealed wins!

If the team with all its members revealed fails to find their traitor, but the team without its members revealed does, they win instead!

The winning team absconds with the suitcases and gets the cash.

Grabbing the Suitcase

The suitcase starts the game in a bystander's hand. Each player will vote for who they want to receive the case first. The first player to receive 50% of the votes is the first player to have the case.

Passing the Suitcase

When holding the suitcase, your role will remain hidden. When you pass the suitcase to someone else, your role will be revealed. The Mole will be revealed as a Detective, while Informant will be revealed as a Criminal.

Ending the Game (modified; please read)

Passing the suitcase will end when one team has passed it to everyone on their team. From then, both teams will vote for who they think either the Mole or the Informant is; if there is a tie then the Mole/Informant will choose someone. You are allowed to change your vote as many times as you desire until all five votes from your team including the traitor are sent in.
