Spamming

Repeatedly sending the same message and/or chat flooding. Includes vote spamming. In extreme cases, if someone has received ample warning, and gameplay is disrupted across several games, a violation may be given in unranked Main Lobby

under the spamming section of the rules page it says that it only has to be excessive in an unranked main lobby game for the spamming vio to be given.

it also doesn't say anything about having to be told to stop for the vio to be given.

i dont see anything wrong with trying to viofarm ppl out of bitterness, doesnt say theres anything wrong with that in the rules.

also thats not what i did, accusing me of doing that without proof is just slandering my good reputation on this site. absolutely unprofessional from a mod

excessive is subjective. repeating the same line 17 times is considered excessive to some but not to certain mods. which is why the rule needs to be specified more, at least write in the descr that the user should be told to stop

the entire point of spamming is that it's excessive; it's just stated as "repeated" in the rules. if it didn't actually disrupt gameplay and no one actually had a problem with it in the game (it's pretty clear your intent is just to try and viofarm him out of bitterness) then i don't see any reason to vio something. there's nothing wrong with the way the rule is written and there's nothing wrong with leniency. i'm not going to give someone a vio for the sake of giving them a vio when no one cared about it ingame.

also, precedence from 4 years ago is essentially null.
