whenever a mod gives a verdict that is overturned, they should get the punishment they gave. as an example, if they give a gt vio and its changed to nv/note, they should get banned for 24hrs too, as they banned this other person for this long.
the only problem with this is that they will probably change wrong verdicts less frequently
its sad that this happens so often, and i have very rarely got an apology for them making the mistake and you having to have the wrong penalty
how many violations could you have gotten? you said you are a new account and not at all HoldenRye aka TheRealLapisLazuli. You do know you can get banned for impersonations like that right?
Not a good solution for the problem you're essentially angry about: "mod abuse"
Not to say it's occurring or not, but there's basically a reason this isn't a practice anywhere and only cases of actual corruption/wrongdoing get punished
So what you're complaining about is basically on the admin to enforce their mods don't give out wrongful vios on purpose

i think an eye for an eye is smart, maybe even make it so they get double the time the innocent did? ive gotten many unfair violations before

the police do go to jail when they were found to be corrupt and jailing people illegally....
