BenKenobi Ban

Hello everyone,

We have been getting a lot of questions about the BenKenobi ban and we just wanted to make a thread to clarify the circumstances of the ban.

He has received 8 violations in Main Lobby ranging from HC to Spamming to Trolling to Copied Mechanics to Lobby Camping and is currently banned there. Furthermore, we have gotten many reports from people complaining about the aggressive and overly offensive language that BenKenobi has been using in chatrooms and in games in the Survivor Lobby. Our first and foremost goal as moderators of the Survivor Lobby is to make the Lobby a fun and safe place for people to play in and BenKenobi was actively toxic and against all of these values. As a result, because of his actions in Main Lobby and Survivor Lobby, the Main Lobby moderators decided to siteban BenKenobi, an action which we support as well. Ben will no longer be able to play in the Survivor Lobby or Main Lobby, but he is free to play in Sandbox.

Finally, I'd like to thank the main lobby moderators for working closely with us for the past few months. They've been extremely helpful and we really appreciate their help.

I'd like to add something a bit more fierce actually.

What have you done, HardCarry, in the last 12 months to make the Survivor Lobby a fun place? If it's not fun, it doesn't matter if it's safe, so this one should take priority. Sure, some of the other moderators host games and events, but what have you actually done? BenKenobi has hosted a good few games and had planned to host more in the upcoming weeks. Doesn't this make him more equipped to be a moderator than you? I'm sure he knows a large majority of the *active* player base better than you do also. And could probably judge their actions better.

Edit; I don't really think you can ban me for this, and you already dislike me for no real reason, so I have nothing to lose. I can't see there being issues if someone who shows their face once every 3 months dislikes me anyway. I understand you're busy with life, but surely when you're too busy to be around, you shouldn't be in a position of power here.

"Fun for all" - but not if you're toxic

Anyone remember when this was the relaxed place, which a lot of people only discovered when they were banned from main? And when we got all upset because of the Google ads thing asking us to be more PC? :/

He pushed the rules we have in place, but unless he's been throwing around a few too many slurs, he's not done anything notable really to get banned.

I feel like this is "Main banned him so we did too"
Which I don't like because we're supposed to be more tolerant and relaxed.

this is tragic im literally crying more than i have since harambe was cruelly and wrongly killed

rip benkenobi u were a wonderful man and a true hero that we didnt deserve
