Today is the day about showing how we all come from different walks of life and different cultures. You can participate in this event by simply posting your flag or talking a little about your culture and daily rituals!

In South Korea, the average student sleeps around 7 hours, and at one point a few years ago it was 5.5 hours. They have debatably the highest teenage suicide rate, and Mapo Bridge is known to be a popular suicide site for Koreans. For that reason, signs on the Mapo Bridge light up during night, saying things like "Did you eat today" or "The weather is nice today"
The Philippines! It's made up of 7,641 islands and we're surrounded by sea.
Let's bring in some holiday trivia. (incoming wikipedia c/p) It's one of the two predominantly Christian countries in Asia, so we celebrate Christmas here and have strong values. In fact, we celebrate the longest Christmas season in the world, starting as early as September then lasting until the first week of January. We have a Noche Buena feast where families dine together until midnight and the food is really delicious and plentiful!
These are Filipino lanterns, called parol! We hang them at our homes. They're important to us Filipinos as Christmas trees are to Westerners. There's a road near by my place where you can see tons of these stuff! It's like walking through a magic land filled with lights at night.
My country is that big blob on the bottom corner of the map, not to be confused with australia, also Uruguay is just one of our provinces, they just don't know it yet.
We drink some herbs mixed with hot water and sugar and we call it mate, don't ask me why.
We like futbol but our national team always ends up in second place, cue the memes and a picture of sad Messi
Hello I'm Jake, I hail from Canada, the land up north, i think Roro summed up alot of the amazing things which make our country the amazing place it is! However i shall add on a few notes of my own: #1 Bagged Milk pretty much milk in a bag, it is always funny to see peoples reactions to it! #2 Kraft Dinner pretty much mac n cheese, this is the best ever, i could probably live on it (while it is canadian, because of its popularity, it might be common to see it in american stores) #3 Tim Hortons best coffee place up here, probably compares to Starbucks (though we also have those up here!) We also have Justin Beiber and The Toronto Maple Leafs, but lets be real, they both SUCK! So only count the first 3!
Okay so, we invented that. We invented most things actually. Like the language you're all using right now :o Please ignore everything that happened with colonies and stuff, we were competing...
For real though, other than a legitimate 3-4 litres of tea a day, and a small craving for crumpets, I don't think we do things much different over here. We take fry ups seriously, make the trashiest reality TV, and just live life as it comes. We all have different accents, have two taps on our sinks, pronounce all of the letters in words like 'water' and 'aluminium', queue always and forever, and make toasties. (Toasties Cammy)
Home of Ketchup Chips, poutine, "monopoly money", adding that extra u in words such as colour, free healthcare, and where pennies are no longer accepted as currency. Also because I'm West Coast tons of Weed but no milk in bags that's an Eastern Canada thing srry.
I live in Orlando, FL and spend some of my time at the theme parks and beaches. It's also very hot in the summertime so I also swim a lot during the summer.

I always cook tortillas on the stove, never in the microwave.
