While it's being discussed in reports I have a different question

Why can mafia choose to not kill into autoloss? Like if they got themselves in a situation where they have to kill ORC BOMB or their CC why can they force meteor??? That's like saying they get a free escape from their shi'tty play that put them in that situation in the first place
