i agree, the ranchers are the workers, cows r simply means of production, however their strife is symbolic to that of the proletariat

Ranchers are the ones who are controlled by the bourgeoisie. They do not have to "exploit" the cows if it wasn't for the demand for milk by the rich. Cows are simply machines in this society - you cannot hold them at the same level as humans.

i disagree, cows r symbolic of the proleteriat, they r exploited 4 milk, they r killed for feed, like capital kills the ppl it exploites.
and this is very important, if cows were to reach class conscious, they could easily overthrow the ranchers that exploits them, that is why in my opinion they r proletariat and not bourgeoisie

Cows are a representative of the power of the bourgeoisie, comrade. While they eat steak, us proletarians have to labor to raise the cow which they so disgracefully consume.
