Beautiful Defeats and Ugly Victories

Inspired by hit South Korean Game Survival show "The Genius", I have come up with a suitable adaption for the Survivor lobby that I am very excited to share with all of you. As most here are probably unaware of The Genius, I will explain the format of the show.

Every episode, a contestant is eliminated following a main match and a death match. The winner(s) of the main match will gain a token of life as assurance to proceed to the next round, a number of "garnets", which are used to buy items in later challenges, and in some cases, receives an additional token of life to give to another player. The worst performer in the main match is automatically sent to the death match, and is allowed to choose anyone without a token of life as their opponent.

Now, The Genius's challenges are the most fascinating aspects of the show, and I will do my best to adapt them to this format. Challenges in The Genius are complex, multi-faceted, and require both intellectual and social skills to succeed. There will no typing challenges, trivia, or most of the same sorts of games typically played on a round by round basis in this lobby. Instead, each "episode" will take a significant portion of time, most likely 2-3 hours. Of course, I don't expect anyone to play for 14 hours straight, so each "episode" will be played separately, most likely once a week.

Additionally, the scope of these games is larger than just the Epic Mafia chat room can handle. For this respect, I will be using a private Discord chat room for the actual implementation of these games. For certain other games, I may use Google Drawings for the purpose of visual references.
