Jess, you're good at mafia. I will explain using something you share with brownpimp, one of the best players on the webiste.

One of the reasons brownpimp is basically the best player on this website is because he's so charismatic ingame and uses that charm to do what's needed to be done (i.e. get people to nl or lynch x player, or anything that's in favor of his win con).

You've got the charming part down. But you haven't got the second part down -- the ability to convince or execute a game the way you want it to go

You're bad at mafia. Here's why: you haven't found your dominance in game yet. You play as if you have it but that's only because you have 2-3 female friends in there who just blindly follow you. I can bet my ass if you sat at a table filled with pro tier players, you'd either 1) dodge the table, or 2) have no presence or control at the table and you'd get bulldozed hard

You're a good and bad at mafia. Don't freak out. Hear me out:

You put minimal effort in your games. When you do put effort, I admire your attention to small details like when you point out (meta) differences in player's playstyles. Also a lot of games I think you just afk l0l. I need to see more effort in order to call you a strong maf player

i'd like to think i actually do play well when full effort - especially if i'm playing with someone who runs for a trophy because it gives me a good reason to try hard and play properly. i wasn't like that back then because i didnt find em boring as much as i do now

Too obstinate in your own ways of playing. You insist on doing your own things and usually they're really stupid. You also make really bad plays in almost every game I see you in. Like when you tried to role swap with the hit bp as blue in VDLI (which has no benefit whatsoever to town). I've seen you throw a full blown mechanical autowin when you were a mod and you OT'd it yourself to a NV. You can't recognize any mistakes you make and it's really quite sad

Hey man you're good as hell at this game when you want to be

I remember you carried my ass for a trophy one round. When you try hard you're a beast. You remind me of how Harrold used to play back in competitive lobby. What I mean by that is you're one of the best at clarifying how you reached certain conclusions and reads (makes for an easy townread)

You're influenced too easily by your friends in game. Like I bet I can join a game with you and get you to vote whoever I wanted. I just wouldn't consider you 'good' until I see your skillset whilst playing your hardest without a table full of friends

I do agree with most of it.
Nowadays I don't really tryhard that much and just get one tr and follow that person if I believe they're good enough to carry the game. It isn't the best way to play the game but I'm too lazy aka I love when other people carry the game. I don't think this makes me a bad player though, because I can win a lot of games by doing this and when I have to tryhard, I do... but you probably haven't seen that and I don't play anymore so that's fine.

I'm only saying that because you just recently started (and even came from sandbox) so one would assume you'd suck ass for quite awhile. But you're actually decent despite the amount of cheating you get up to with abc. You should play less with your circlejerk friends and work on gaining more respect from quality players here
