emotionally shutting down is the best way to cope tbh

That seems kind of creepy like one step below ex-girlfriend revenge p.orn, so I'm not going to do that because it's important to me that I be the chivalrous and noble tragic hero of this story, who would never do anything to harm someone he loved and rather would have done anything to make them happy, but got sh.it all over anyway.
You can assume she's a cerebral palsy tranny for all I care, as long as you realize that she had my heart.
Yeah but the first girl I loved killed herself and it was already extremely hard for me to let myself care about someone like that again and she knew about it and still went out of her way to make me fall for her, and then she cheated on me.
It seems really malicious to me and I can't understand it. I'd kind of rather characterize it as malicious because I'm finding it really difficult to stop caring about her.
You've had two instances of a relationship ending in a way that can be explained by there being a big problem with you, so it's no surprise you're struggling here.
You know, rationally, that it's not you, that you just happened across two people with issues and gave them your heart. It's not even unlikely for that to happen.
Unfortunately our brains are terrible at dealing with probability and will likely explain the occurrence of a coin coming up tails three times in a row with some reason if we can. I think that's what your emotions are forcing you to deal with here, you're trying to find a pattern where there isn't one and the only one you can find is that you suck. So that sucks.
maybe it was malicious and maybe it really wasn't, you're entitled to feel how you do so just focus on moving forward and try not to get too bitter and petty over it, it will just bring you down lower.
