F5 is just refreshing.
Ctrl+F5 clears caches.
Just refreshing doesn't work if the cache is saved
You need to refresh your cache of the site. Your avatar has changed, it is just not showing.
Go into history, clear browsing data and clear saved images or cache etc on chrome
Other browsers just clear all browsing data if there's no specific thing for saved image cache.
