In dpicmafia at this point, there is very little support for people who speak other languages, at least from what I've seen. I say there should be lobbies made by em for people who speak different languages, and they should be publicized by the site itself. Maybe this is unnecessary, but it would help for outreach, and it would be good for people who don't want to run everything through google translate. This might not be a problem that occurs often, but its a very simple way to improve the sit. Let's have a discussion/support.
EDIT : This is a lot about the site publicizing and supporting the new lobbies more than anything else. Maybe like programming a dropdown menu to select your language. I know that people can create custom lobbies, but most of them die out very early. So ideally that wouldn't be a possibility with these lobbies. I may have messed up on the wording, main site mods won't need to enforce the rules there, maybe at the beginning until permanent mods could be assigned to those lobbies.

I mean, I just don't see the point of adding a whole different language feature to the site because of a few unranked Spanish games; it's not enough to hold up an entire lobby.

I dont know, I've seen a bunch of latinamerican players play their own unranked games in spanish at some point. I dont know if that would work, but I know a player has been translating a bunch of things about the game in spanish as well.

Do you know what would be really cool?
If main lobby had a filter than only showed ranked games by default and the unranked requirement were removed, so that new players from other mafia sites would experience a game of mafia right off of the bat as opposed to an unranked game.
I think a lot of people are driven away from the site before they get to try ranked (and contingently competitive)because they think everything is like unranked.
But what would be the point of translating everything on the website if mostly all of the games are going to be played in English? Unless you have some sort of way to see just how many non-English speaking people play on this website, wouldn't you just be wasting time and effort?
Do you think if you had separate languages for the site, you'd be able to draw in other non-English speaking people to play?
If people have to speak english in the games, like its been, then that would be pointless, unless it's getting changed? like, if there's a game of mixed language speaking people, no one is going to know what's happening.
my problem here is you want site mods to enforce rules here? that's what I'm getting from this, and the more languages you go into, the less mods who will actually know the languages? it gets too complicated if this becomes a big thing.
I think it would be incredibly pointless to translate system messages only to play with players who speak English in the chats.
Unless you're speaking of official custom lobbies, that is. Even still I think that you'd be wasting time since there doesn't seem to be a huge base of players to expand.
