By scumhunting setups they mean setups with 2 maf where it is easy to cheat and not get caught. Because in mechanics based setup you will get caught if you don't lynch your bf who is confirmed mafia.
I wish lucid made a feature that people would get less points for playing the same comp setup, for example one point less for next win in the setup.

On the contrary, the setups I actually want comped can't compete with the Jan 2.0 clone either, but at least they can fill against it.

Every round, instead of comping varied and balanced setups to play, trophy winners make the mistake of comping something they think is fun or new or quirky only for it to be swallowed alive by Jan 2.0 or its clones.
I've made that mistake a few times. I hope you don't, but it's your prerogative.
Haha I know dethy is unbalanced, it's practically a pointfarm.

They can be comped because they are under the game limit. Dethy is also not a balanced setup, sadly. There are an array of fun balanced setups to choose from if you decide to mercifully give us another option than Pranay's Jan 2.0 clone, which will be the only thing played, and will work exactly like Jan 2.0 except probably a few points more townsided because of the wills.
