how did you become a weeb?

I first got into anime/manga when I saw the very first American airing of Naruto when I was 9. I really liked it and kept up with it until I was 11/12. In those years I read (and loved) Shaman King and Hikaru no Go, the latter of which is still my favorite manga.

The weeb in me mostly lay dormant until I was 15 and started watching a bit more anime (Spice and Wolf! Code Geass! TTGL! blah blah blah) and tried to play through Persona 3 (Which 4 years later I'm still on/off trying to finish). I occasionally watch anime or play games but I honestly don't consider myself that much of a weeb-I just have 3-4 manga series at a time I keep up with now and the anime/games are pretty rare.

I do read a lot of Japanese literature though, my favorite being Yukio Mishima's Sea of Fertility trilogy and I love Haruki Murakami's The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle.
