Hello, welcome to the 18 + only discussion thread for adults. Every week we will go over topics fit only for mature adults with the fine tooth comb of intellect.

This Week: Veganism, is it our moral obligation?

Next Week:Nanking Massacre

Most children aren't mature enough to discuss problems of ethics, choosing instead to turn to jokes.

Since when is veganism a grown up topic?

Just eat your damn food

Veganism is completely, totally our mor-

OOOOOOH a bacon cheeseburger.

What was the question?

I don't think veganism is a moral obligation. But, I do think that meat eating should be considered as a luxury.

- Eating eggs isn't morally objectionable, especially unfertilized eggs
- Although some milking conditions may be inhumane, harvesting milk is also a relatively harmless procedure that feeds many people, and it's quite nutritious
- You can make the same case for honey: in fact, beekeeping benefits the bees by providing them with shelter and food.

If its full time and u only got a semester left you ight be able to get them to delay it

It's not really a summer internship tho, I finally got an in to this place i've been applying for the past 3 years and they want me to intern over the winter but i also have to finish off my last semester and i don't know if i can balance both nor do i know if i will get the opportunity again
almost 10 years
most places let you work whilst you study too, it benefits them more than having you full time interning unless they have a full time program set up just for it (its more time efficient and you learn skills at a steadier pace)

I am extremely knowledgeable about the Australian education system.

Taking a semester off is never a good idea unless you're bombing school.
almost 10 years
usually people do summer internships in their last year and get grad offers from that, if u can get in, its usually like an 80% retention rate, taking a semester off is kinda useless you might as well finish and apply for grad programs
