the worst thing is when people who are genuinely capable of winning a trophy without cheating, cheat in order to get it. it's unnecessary and taints all their previously honest run

i don't get how or why people are proud of cheating here
this is a social game and so cheating to a win is worth about as much as actually playing the game to a win. it's all working people. i think cheaters actually take a win from cheating

same reason people become mods, basically. and would u look at that list!
cheating isn't really working anyone though. mafia being a social game is what makes cheating here confusing. i get that people cheat in other games because they want people to think they're good and i get that it's the same thing here, but people in other games get shunned out of existence when they're found out. i don't get why that wouldn't happen more often in a game that's more personal and where people actually care about the person's skill. i guess i get why they play it off as haha i tricked u but i have a hard time with why people let them do it. maybe it's just that so many people here have cheated
meh, probably because so many people cheat. i was just explaining the why they cheat and why it might be a bright little spark for them that they did. it's not so much that they want people to think they're good, but they are good. they have achieved what was to be achieved, and by a means that's going to be readily available in the real world. the game tests social fitness, i meant

I would say maybe it has moved in that direction, but it will never stay there. The difference between what you did and what will happen is that there is a constant forward push past your kind of views. You may have set it backwards, but only temporarily

People have stronger personal attachments on em than a male dominated content focused game, so whilst you might disagree with their actions, you maintain your friendship. That and the Userbase is too small to start pushing people out.

People like Gerry cheat all the time, even if it's just little things, like being in Duffs chat with Duffs players and being able to see who speaks on Skype during night phases to get OGI reads.
we did run into that problem, but we eventually adopted a 'no talking during the night' rule

i saw a shot in the dark game and i almost felt the same thing i did when it was the only game i'd play and it was so entertaining to me. then the feeling died immediately after and i realized i dont like playing mafia anymore. thank god
