i don't think they should be able to do gold heart reports at all if their intention is to compete for a trophy during said round, since if you wanted to start influencing stuff you'd start doing it before 1000 points (i.e. right at the beginning of the round) if you're smart
honestly the only solution is to have all trophy runners send their address and accept the fate of 50 pizzas being delivered if the verdict is that they abuse meta. and im not talking edible pizza, i mean anchovies with no cheese and thin crust
i'll tell you why meta abuse is by FAR the most difficult thing to moderate on this website...it's because meta is essentially almost the entire game of mafia itself. how much of it do you take away before it's too much? how much of it do you allow before it's too little? there is no fine line and bias is a large part of the game. if we were all machines and if you took it all away then guess what mafia would just be a roulette spin based on mechanical setup odds.
there's no concrete solution. what we need to do is just try our best to be as consistent as possible for things that are handled case-by-case, which, the notion of on it's own is laughable, but until you think of a better solution for something that is literally different every time then please, let me know. because you can't have one concrete solution for this
i think over time, people cut corners for small exceptions and the standard has been more and more cutting corners for someone who bent the rules from wht it was last time. now we're here
nowadays, someone comes in and says lucid told him the role, they're going to be like "thats hilarious" or "hey can you tell him to unban my friend" they aren't going to be like "You cheated this is a violation" which is another thing thats changed over the years
that one time you got banned for "cheating" was the most unfair thing ever, but thats also an example of how serious cheating was being taken in those days. it was a blatant joke
10 suspicious games is worse than 20 games with no evidence, so I can see why (if) it was suspicious you were temp banned from playing together.. but I'm probably only whining because I've been here kind of long and back when I first started, even playing 15 games together was a huge red flag lol

Back in the day I got banned from playing with a friend over 2 "suspicious" games out of a total of 10 played together. We Weren't allowed to play together.
yeah i wish we could review games before they were played as well but sometimes that can be a little difficult
agreed but also don't forget that his response won't change the findings of the moderators. what happened in the games happened in the games.
the double standard i talked about comes into play here. let's be real the mods are human too and if they have a verdict they want to move on to the next round as soon as possible to save people's time
thats the main complaint. the other part was what poser was talking about where they a friend is just gonna naturally have bias towards you and gerry is right because several recent trophy winners have like 20+ games with people
