I'm just saying I watched one anime and it made me a bit sad. It's not the reason I don't watch anime though. I don't watch anime because once you've seen one you've seen them all.
It's completely different though Sirius. Anime has that connection between the protagonist and people from the opposite sex, and the perfect little environment, be it working or social, where that connection may manifest in full bloom. You don't really get those opportunities in real life, so it puts a dampener on the things you do happen to experience.

Anime is a really good substitute to fill the friendless void that was high school, even if it might not be what exactly happens in the real world

I got hooked one one series of anime once upon a time. I loved it, but it honestly made me depressed for a little while because I hoped things could be the same in the real world. My advice would be to stop watching anime.
