after going past a mist wall i reached a place with a bunch of stone knights. I found a body with elite knight armor just before I died and managed to keep it, so now i am suited in elite knight armor

I came to a forest that had moss monsters after i ran past the statue, i reached a door that is locked by some contraption

Finally I just reached another bonfire and this time it is different, no more 10 min journeys to the same place

Alright tnx, I feel like i cant kill knights rn as even the one before I could not kill, i just ran past it grabbed the ring died then respawned and kept it.

OH, and i think this is important to say too:
without spoiling what enemies this applies to, you can cut the tails off of certain enemies and get a special item for it. iirc you're not directly told this by the time you can start using it to your advantage, and i only found out through the internet. not an integral part of the game but it does get you some helpful equipment.

piece of advice: the iron boar you're going to run into dies and doesn't respawn. so if you spend the time trying to kill it, it'll make all subsequent ventures easier. at least at this point.
also, there's another black knight on the top of the tower you initially climb up through the sewers, and if you get lucky (like i did on my first playthrough), he can potentially drop something good if you kill him. albeit, killing him is extremely difficult at this point of your build. also doesn't respawn, but doesn't aggro until you get to him.
