In my hypothetical where I am funding and running the marketing aspect of a site dedicated solely to competitive mafia without the forums, sandbox, or game lobbies, we wouldn't be unbanning the cheaters every month.
town of salem doesn't have an emphasis on competitive mafia, it's just party mafia made dumb (sandbox)
people like not having to care which is why it's popular.
competitive mafia and moderation is actually what caused this site to decline

Competitive mafia is only a joke because it has only ever been a small aspect of this incredibly weird, poorly designed website with one of the worst cultures on the entirety of the internet.
The idea of competitive mafia itself is actually genius and easily marketable and profitable, and it will happen sooner or later. All it would take is a coder and someone willing to fund the marketing.
epicmafia was actually high quality for a long time because it was purely grass-roots, people were here for the fun and then it got popular. lucid didn't cater to the increased masses correctly and it turned to crap
if you try and do what epicmafia did without that foundation you just get town of salem

I'm dead serious though. I think this website with an emphasis on competitive mafia as well as a properly funded marketing machine and a complete purge of the e-socialization aspect would be much more profitable

I'm a college undergrad employed full time who pays his own tuition and rent out of his own pockets, so I think I'm allowed to be Kylo Ren if I want.

I think that this same game without most of you people would actually be much more successful, and quite popular. The only reason this website isn't popular is because of the way it's been run from the start.
