Because I have my own faith. I believe that's just anyone else's answer too, no matter what religion you believe in. Muslims do not believe the Christian God is the True God. The Greeks have many gods, etc. They all believe in, or have faith, in their God.

I Believe God exist because I believe there is a reason we are here on Earth...we aren't just born,grow,live our lives and die and thats the end...
Religion is good but with it comes zealots and extremists...but I don't believe in forcing a religion on anyone...

No, and please don't think this is a place where I am going to be like "gotcha!" at everyone who I don't agree with. So far pretty much no one shares what I believe in. I am just wondering what the motivation is for people who basically believe in nothing.

Best quote on Earth. It's so raw and real and completely true and being a materialistic person myself, I can only hope that I can live life happily and fully with the person I love to death. What happens after that, I don't care to know.

i don't believe in 'god' in the sense that he's a fit bearded man sitting on a cloud but i do believe in a higher power and that the universe has a tendency to set things right

I don't believe in anything. There are FAR too many reasons to explain here, but I'll give you the SparkNotes.

I was raised under Catholicism, and I soon realized it was nothing more than a corrupt cult of fat cats who are in it for the money, assuring false promises on gullible people of grandeur and salvation.

To answer the questions, I don't believe in god, religion is bad under any circumstances, people who believe in god are misinformed, and nothing happens after death.

If you believe, then go for it. Please don't take this as me offending you, it's my opinion.

yeah they seem to use it as a crutch to add meaning/purpose to their lives which never made any sense to me since you still ultimately don't know what you're actually believing in, what god's plan is etc

nothing - just an empty, formless void. so make the most of your life kids :-)
