This site needs a separate team of people to do appeals. Its the only way to prevent circle jerks and bias. No offense to mods.
This team will have only one job and it is to take care of appeals.
This group of people should not be in the mod chat.
Imo, a group of 5 active people would be a perfect solution. Requiring 3/5 to OT.
To become the "Tribunal memeber" you'd need to be nominated by a mod/ ex mod and voted in by the community. 3000 points + to vote.
Details can be changed / altered, but the general idea is that this limits the power mods have without removing their ability to moderate the site properly and appropriately.
ok and then we need a council to council the tribunal system when they tribune the mods decisions. to ensure no bias from the tribunal system the council will have players with 6000 +points filled with nominations from ex admins and voted in by the community. this makes it impossible for bias from the mods as we have a tribunal system looking over the mods and council group looking over the tribunal system
now that i have i can tell you that it's a bad idea

and in less than a month we'll have people complaining about the tribunal. The mods have a job, they may do it right or wrong, but a bunch of ''famous'' people having the last say won't reallly solve the problem (not considering that people will be more likely to appeal for everything, so the tribunal basically become the mod team, and a mod team chosen by the community doesn't really sound like a great idea)

This is like the fourth time this topic has been made that I can recall. It's never flew by any mod team. Only person who would possibly consider such revisions is Lucid, and the only way to get Lucid's attention if you aren't really well known is to get like 20 people to spam his inbox on the same topic. Funny but true.

Just look at recent shenanigans with the bans and tell me that current system is not working.
Kinda ironic that latest 2 mod teams are all for taking EM reports more seriously yet are unwilling to take the necessary steps to ensure it really is so. If you really oppose regulation that much you should relax on the vios as well.
