I'd like to start up an OU tournament on Showdown. I know we've got some die-hard fans here for sure, so who's down to make some teams? We'll likely do it in a match format as well. UU is better than OU
UU is a more strategic tier, true. But OU is easier to play with, especially for newer and more inexperienced people. You should join anyway, lilin.

not random because even building an OU team requires skill and balancing. Random is mostly luck of the draw.

what's the rules here
The rules are simple! You build a team that is valid in the OU tier (for current OU tier listings go here: http://www.smogon.com/dex/xy/formats/ou/) and you enter the tournament. You will battle your opponent in a match game, which means best two out of three, which means first one to 2 wins is the one who wins the match. If you win, you will advance to the second round. If we have enough people join, we might even be able to do a B side too. If you're interested, just sign up!
