Mara's father has Irish, German, and French-Canadian ancestry, and her mother is of Irish and Italian descent.[7][8] Her "Rooney" ancestors originated in Newry, County Down.[9]
Though given that only 13% of Americans are black, people shouldn't be surprised that most roles go to white most. It's not racism, it's the fact that most actors are white.
The real underrepresented group in hollywood is not African-Americans (which pushes for diversify casts in the name of political correctness often result in overrepresentation of African-Americans) but Latino's, which is an underpriviliged group that never benefited from a social justice movement pushing for their equal rights.
also interesting note, jamie foxx forest whitaker and jennifer hudson were some of the first actors to sweep the 5 major awards (golden globes, critics choice, SAG, BAFTA and oscar)
