Like, of course I don't think the R-word is that terrible relative to a number of other slurs, but if you can't see why it's more offensive than f*** then you're a weapons-grade idiot.

now that i think about it, in my first year of university, me and some guys were joking around and somebody used the r word, and some white girl who looked like she hasn't taken a bath in days crept up on us and told us to not use that word. i was like wut
The r-slur is literally removed from the technical name of the medical condition because it was too offensive to label people as it due to it's use as a slur. Lmfao.
mentally handicap people are offended by the r word. just like black people are offended by the n word. it's not a hard concept to understand. I personally don't report people for saying the r word. But, I can understand why people can be offended by it. They may have friends or family that is mentally handicapped or were bullied because of it. But to me, the word doesn't carry much weight.
