Frankly I can't even remember if I played with him back when I joined the site in 2009. I imagine I did but either way I'm confident that he was as good as his stats suggested. Not that 70% really says a whole lot. Players like Gira and theeraser usually hovered around 55% or a little higher but I'd take either one as quickly as I'd take Effulgence or Fantastic. Gira I'd take over either.
Once upon a time, long, long ago, I was in training and the legendary Riddler would join games, and for like a second, because of the fame board, I thought he was like one of the best players on the site or something. I learned fast that this was not the case.
Connor, SGR, and I coexisted pretty well except for when I flew off the handle at SGR. I didn't like edark because I thought he sucked. Riddler was the only one of that group who could consistently elicit the ire of the others.

I never really got to play with him, only some few games, one of which we made rutab cry in.
Yeah, that means nothing to me. Effulgence was a genuine top-tier player circa 2009, back when the site was very competitive, which is why it was so funny to bring him to his knees when he returned.

Not that it's not a complete cheat of an account completely built on tables stacked with friends though.
Effulgence - widely regarded, due in part to his self-promotion and in part to his legitimately impressive statistics, as the best player ever alongside Maxwell and Fantastic - came back to play a few games in 2011 or maybe 2012, and performed really unremarkably. We Bad Boyz and associated users griefed him to tears over it.
