While this may be quite personal, yes she did. She was addicted to multiple drugs, she drank, smoked, and basically completely disregarded the life she was carrying and was responsible for.
The reason I feel safe saying this on the internet? I don't care for any of my parents very much, and all of them operate on opposite ends of the moral and conditional spectrum. I find them all (step parents included) to be highly corrosive people.
