It's the nature of the game. It's a product of paying attention to the behaviors of the people you play with and using it to your advantage. Banning friendships in a social game is contradictory and moronic, especially when it's blatantly clear it has not impact on games.

That bin was nearly as convincing as xxerox's bin on me and pereking cheating
There are many people that I have 100% success rates with/against and a few people that I have a 100% failure rate with. It would be moronic of me to ignore this and not use this to my advantage. There are a lot of factors involving this game that follow the same pattern hence the term meta and as we should all know, ignoring meta is akin to ignoring common sense.
That's easy to say seeing the stats, but I could put my own stats on the line and tell you that I only play games if there's someone in the table I like.
Not that it isn't something that happens widely and is enforced unevenly, but ideally you let no one do it over everyone imo.

I mean, I railed against the pastebin itself too. But do you really think gerryoat1's run wasn't made significantly easier for him with the presence of luminica/Dreamquakes in nearly every game?
Also for some reason it needs to be pointed out that friends inherently have a bias for each other, being friends. Most people don't allow this to supercede their win condition making this issue irrelevant.
You shouldn't avoid playing with each other because this site as a whole isn't competent enough to handle two decent players on the same team. If the people you're playing against aren't competent enough to combat your friendship they don't need to be playing comp in the first place.
The thing about the pastebin is that it ignored or marked as "odd" whatever wasn't convenient for this whole cheating accusation, and the fact that he insulted both of us in several occasions. Then he stepped on our effort and refused to read the defense after going back on his word of giving us 24 hours, just to say the outcome had been decided either way, when Gerry was up all night typing it. We were even trolled in the forums when we just wanted to be heard. He's free to believe we were cheating, but I think the treatment we received was not fair. We're not just players. We are people.

The mods. I'm reading your pastebin and cringing at how blatantly stupid some of these remarks are. It was the same for cocacola where Giga and Togepi demonstrated their lack of game comprehension in all of their accusatory remarks.
I understand. In hindsight, I agree that I was being soft on him, but it wasn't on purpose. I will not play with him again so his effort isn't ruined by me once more. I apologize to everyone for the trouble I caused, but you can rest assured it was never purposefully, and I truly meant no harm.
I feel really bad for gerryoat1 and luminica because it is very clear to me that you two were not cheating this round. I completely disagree with the verdict of cheating in the pastebin against gerryoat1, and as always that is only my opinion. But luminica, whether you realized it or not, you were playing in favour of gerryoat1 for a lot of his games. I'm sorry because a lot of users do this subconsciously, but when it happens over very many of a trophy runners games in a round, sometimes the trophy gets stripped. It's happened before, this isn't the first time. I can't go against four (three current) moderators and lucid. Lucid was correct to not give you two violations and I am firm in that belief, and I am firm in believing the correct outcome is occurring.
This is pretty much the same as the CocaCola/Zwink case, except more games were affected. This is just my opinion as always and I really do feel bad for you gerryoat1 because you're not only a good player but you didn't really do anything wrong. You just have to be careful with who you play with and be careful that the same person or people aren't consistently playing in your favour.
