I don't feel strongly about this but I do think this site need a censor to censor out words that are offensive to certain people just because it is very annoying to see people spam a bunch of swear words at you. I know that people would find a way around this censor but I also think that this cut down a lot of Hateful Comments reports. If people would be censored then it would probably stop the urge to swear so much. As I said before I honestly don't care about swearing but it does get very annoying. My idea would be to have an option to censor "bad" words like you can hide emotes, fullscreen, mute, and ect. Please sign.

this is asking the EpicMafia team to make a option in game settings to censor "bad words".
It's not that this is a BAD idea, just that it seems a little.... Idk... Non-functional? Giving a person the option to merely not SEE comments that MAY offend SOMEONE doesn't really eliminate the problem of hate speech in game; it, more or less, simply brushes the problem under the metaphorical rug. I'm sure it would see its fair amount of use if something like this were to actually be implemented, but, to me, it just seems a little shortsighted and childish... Honestly, something like this might actually end up adding even more fuel to the fire.
just turn off caps in games while you're at it tbh

i would be in favor of this mostly because it would be really funny to see the replacements for words and it could function like an age guard on most bbcode forums. the problem is i'm not sure about the viability of coding it for games (lobby chat is probably more manageable). it's a worthwhile suggestion though, imo. at least if it's optional. that and seeing pranay swear rants with stuff like the f word replaced with "Fund" and b word with "Ninny" would be hilarious.
i just want to say why not? there is no reason people shoudnt be able to censor words that offend them. 90% of HC problems would be solved, and jaleb u dont need to swear to show emotion.
i mean, it's not a terrible idea, but if you cannot handle someone saying the f word in a game then you should probably consider playing club penguin or whatever [censored] play.
Extremely hateful/racist words could be censored I guess but still isn't that serious.
optional swear censor is perfectly fine. it could be another check box for the user to click.

game's not just about emotion bro. also people aren't going to be completely lost for expression without swear words. it'd make no difference whatsoever really
if it's optional, then I have no problem with this. but please explain to me why the first name of George Bush's vice president is on the current censor list ??? :D
