Hello Sandboxers. Lucid is interested in making new roles, and I know you guys have a bunch of good ideas, so what I'd like to do is get a list of all of the best ideas in this thread and have a poll that you guys can vote on for lucid to make.
On an unrelated note, if you guys know of any bugs with existing roles, please PM me so I can test it out and forward it to lucid so they can get fixed
sorry, i've been busy the last 2 days and haven't gotten around to doing a lot of the stuff i wanted to. if you still need me to make an announcement or anything, let me know and i'll get right on it
The role submission here https://epicmafia.com/role/8538 has one done in the original style, but I can easily make matching ones for each style if you'd like.
Really, I just like the idea of a role that rewards a combination of good intuition and seeming just scummy enough that mafia doesn't bother killing him, but town PRs don't investigate him.
It also penalizes players who don't shoot responsibly, as they become even heavier burdens than sheriff/deputy for town if they shoot poorly.
can moderators or Riddler guide me to the next best role to build?
You know I'd be biased towards Sidekick, I just love my own role.
I also suggest this one:
Milkman -Sided with third party -Visits everybody every night and gives them milk -Can choose 1 player each night to give non-pasteurized milk to -All players must drink 1 milk every two days or die of osteoporosis -If a player drinks non-pasteurized milk, they become poisoned -Drinking pasteurized milk prevents poison -Wins with town, or alone if he gets 3 kills from non-pasteurized milk.
Each new milk over-writes the previous milk, so the milkman would have to continually give milk to someone to have it continually be non-pasteurized.
Well, I can see the role being played as one of two ways: a tinkerer can take a more active role and attempt to scumhunt, himself, relying on intuition to shoot correctly. Or he can hold on to his gun, the tradeoff being that mafia may kill him and score a gun for themselves.
Town benefits here versus a regular gunsmith because they're guaranteed a gun ends up in the right hands. However, if his gun reveals twice, it's kind of a dead giveaway.
