I think a good idea would be that there be a skill-based mechanism to compensate for not paying for tokens. Perhaps an achievement reward of sorts that resulted in another currency gaining with which you could buy colors etc. It should apply to Main Lobby only and some achievements could be gold heart only.
Much like Influence Points from League of Legends, this currency would perhaps be able to purchase upgrades that tokens COULD NOT purchase. :o

so the basic gist is some sort of currency reward for casual ranked heart play outside of the regular points/kudo/karma? really not understanding why so many people would disagree with this

I haven't actually read the thread but it's probably a good idea given that there's a lot of people who thinks it's a bad idea.
I didn't attack gay or pedophile or ra** victim or anything you don't need to mock their suffering for your inability to tolerate an idea that will revolutionize EM once and for all!

Please place a trigger warning on this thread, horrible ideas make me uncomfortable
maybe they can introduce mandatory ad viewing (video appears pregame that you can't escape if you want to play it) and then give you a reward for watching it in non-token currency.
