Abandoning Convention

I play this game based on a lot of assumptions, most including people knowing how to play and knowing how to rationalize events and action.

That $ is f'ing dead.

How do I rationalize people that have no clue how to win, no clue how to play, and no clue why events played out as such even when they're apart of them.

The problem here is not the players, it's the fact that you can't think flexibly.
There is no flexibility in the statement "Your role as any town role is to lynch mafia."

You learn that you are playing with humans, and thus they will not always perform perfectly. The problem here is not the players, it's the fact that you can't think flexibly.
