Fancy Pants would be so much better without Gunsmith. In my experience, Gunsmith is absurdly town-sided. I've created this thread to discuss this issue, consider alternatives to the Gunsmith, and hear the opinions of others.
I genuinely cannot remember the last time I saw Mafia win a game of Fancy Pants when Gunsmith was in the game. While I realize my own experience is a small sample size, it just always seems completely hopeless for the Mafia. If Mafia gets gunned N1, the game is evenly matched, but if town gets gunned N1 it's auto win every time.
I'm not actually sure whether Gunsmith is the Mafia sided one in the entire Multi. It's the only one wherein the Mafia may benefit from the PR's existence.
It sounds great but it's nowhere near 1 (absolute).
Because of this it'd affect the chance of Town / Mafia wins among the entire multi. The answer to what that is would require someone to calculate every single possibility on all of the variations from the first night.
I just did 1 Of like... I don't know, over 10 Different N1 possibilities? That one was just the best one you could get.
bomb just makes a similar situation for town. They get an extra kill if he gets hit (which gets maf everytime) and doesn't make as much sense as in other setups.
The absolute best case scenario for the Gunsmith only occurs in 1% of games that have a Gunsmith, which also means that it only happens in 0.25% of all Fancy Pants games.
No because that type of gun either kills or confirms which means it can be hipfired

what if you forget about removing the gs and you add a setup with 1 extra blue, remove the non cop pr & a nilla then have a fabricator / that role that can gun town but only allows them to shoot town and if they shoot mafia the shot doesn't work.
What would be another PR that could replace GS? Preferably a role that is advantageous for mafia to kill, so that there's 50/50 on whether maf should kill PR
The illuminati tried that with "Fancy Points 2", it didn't get much traction.

someone should just mimic fp, the first setup & the name then just remove the gs setup from it, host it continuously in the main lobby and most likely no one would notice the change.
