Petition: Forum Moderators

They can do IC and deletion and stuff, idk. I feel like we need forum moderators and game moderators so mods don't feel bogged down.

Think of a reason why we should NOT add forum moderators.
in what ways do you feel the forum is currently under-moderated?
idk I just felt like it was a good idea. If the only downside is that there would be a lot of moderators, that doesn't feel like a downside at all

Just give them the "Sticky Topics" "Delete Topics" "Unsticky Topics" "Ban Forum" "Unban Forum" and "Delete Posts Last 24 Hours" keys and boom-- forum mod
no - a forum mod should have nothing except forum powers. a mod with half-keys still has a bunch of mod privileges
how are any of these non-forum powers

Eh that's true but the gold star doesn't really mean much and neither does the +10 because that would benefit forum mods because they can hide stuff etc

But yeah I don't know if there's a way for them to not have access to the moderator forum

So why wouldn't these new mods who will be on the forums constantly and clicking links on the forums constantly not be prone to hidden links aswell?

well what hidden links would they be vulnerable to? Lots of deleted posts?

Devante, those mods can be prone to hidden linking, these mods form a bridge between moderator and common user, and help the site out.

Think of a reason why we should NOT add forum moderators.

i mean this thread was pretty blatantly in hopes that one day bearguru would be a forum mod, as opposed to actually thinking we need them, but they are not a terrible idea

Literally bell can build-a-forum-moderator by only giving them a few keys. It takes like a minute and benefits the site a great amount.

Honestly? PM bell and make sure she sees this. A new admin just got added, this is the perfect time to start petitioning for changes you want to see on the site just like this.
