So the mods have banned some setups because they're too popular and the less known ones aren't being played enough. There's been a lot of argument whether this is the right action or not and has made a lot of players butthurt.
HERE'S MY IDEA
There's also been a lot of talk of splitting the main lobby. I mean, having unranked, ranked, and comp games all in one place makes it cluttered, and with all of the passworded games too, games get pushed to the second page fast, which isn't good for any setup honestly. So a good idea would be to split the lobbies up. I don't know what the most efficient way would be, maybe a comp + ranked lobby, and the main lobby for unranked games too serious for sandbox. I don't know, this isn't my main idea.
If there was a lobby split, this is what could happen in the comp+ranked lobby. There's a list of all the setups available for comp and some good ranked one's thrown in there. The games aren't created by the players though. It's the same idea with Valve servers, kinda. They're always there, even if they're empty. As soon as they fill, the full game is pushed to the second page (but the setup still available on the first page). There could be problems will people trying to avoid certain players, and only having one game available would kind of suck. Maybe like 2 or 3 of each, I'm not sure. What I am sure of is this would make getting into games MUCH easier, and less cluttered. It would also upgrade EM from the system it's been running for YEARS. I mean... why is there no matchmaking type of system?
ranked + comp lobby would be nice. People keep making sandbox setups in main like guns and vests etc

How about you half, or even quarter, the point payout for FP/classic to make it purely a training setup rather than the grindy pointfarm setup for players like packidy.
just because it has a winrate doesnt mean it's unplayable. the point score adjustment exists for that. this is an example of overstepping your authority. you can't just completely ban a setup that is liked and is non-pointfarm/broken.

I agree that it's silly and cluttered. Games that require hearts should be in one lobby, and locked games should DEF be in a different lobby. People go looking for locked games. They're still going to get to them if they're not in main lobby.
People who make locked games are to lazy to go make their own damn lobby.
or they don't wanna purchase 50 tokens or whatever it costs to buy a lobby.

i can't believe the mods didn't take the chance to ban fancy pants and classic mafia for 24 hours, for april fools. it would have been the best anti-april fools & april fools ever

Also there were split lobbies up until about 4 months ago. It didn't work, there was not enough interest in the competitive one.
