We need a new system for allowing people in ranked. It is disappointingly common to have at least one or two players asking "what a pr is, what a hypo is, what is a cc, what is nl, why are we nling," and even hammering the clear cop/pr as town in 3 way lylo because they don't know how to play.
Increase amount of unranked needed to play, have some mandatory walkthrough, have a quiz, have a certain number of unranked that you gotta win, have a training lobby again with mainly classic setup, i dont care what. I'm having 95% of hearts thrown in the garbage because noobs don't know how to play and noobs aren't a reason to get hearts back according to the website. They need to be able to learn and not to do it in ranked. So please do something.
Fancy Pants is actually really damn fun with people who know how to play. Is there a golden hearts version to avoid noobs. However I'm also not a huge fan of the setups in gold.

Yeah. Avoiding classic and fancy pants should help significantly. If player skill level is that much of a problem for you, maybe you should consider playing out your gold hearts.
To teach them how to play the basics of epicmafia in a ranked game where dumbtelling and filler are accusations? How about these guys don't end up in ranked since they don't know how to play. How do I tell a noob to not vote clear cop while in the GY. How do I tell three noobs ( aka two town) in 3 way lylo to look at the cop report a day back. They should know already.
My examples in the OP were lesser regarding terms, they are usually much more impactful on gameplay like isp, gamethrow, grs, or just not knowing at all how to play.
