Steven You don't need the new 3ds for pokemon. Frankly, I feel like that's all that matters i feel like you do need it for pokemon because otherwise you are just not getting the full pokemon experience.

the c stick is worth it imo. it makes games that use it much better. same w/ ZL ZR buttons
