I think when you win a trophy and in addition to picking the setups, you should get to demod and mod someone of your choosing and unban and ban someone of your choosing. It would keep things fresh.

here's what i think you really mean. i think you're scared of reactionary movements by anyone, and this extends to the mod team. most of the mods must be terrified of being spoken against. i don't see why. i haven't seen any egregious errors that deserve a public lashing. why would the mods have to fear us?
