Glacial, I hear you, those setups would need to be altered for balance sure but I still think the meteor mechanic is dumb. To me, the crux of the game is that mafia is a threat to town because they can kill and narrow the town down 1 by 1. If they can no longer do that without outing themselves, they should lose. That's just my opinion though, but I stand by it.

Some of these setups could be altered to be must lynch format would solve the endless NK dilemma. I feel if mafia no kills 3 nights in a row, mafia should lose and town should win.

why do mafia kill anyway? do they want to govern the town themselves? what's so good about that when there's only one mafia left? governing one person? killing them afterwards? being a sole surviving mafia? the answer is: who cares, the game is played to win, not to simulate the pretend scenario

alternatively, force town to lynch even when mafia can kill because town are never in autoloss by lynching

remove meteor > remove need for mods/rules/vios/ogi to come into play > game governs itself

i dont see how the game would drag on forever. town thinks: "mafia has two options, lose or stall. mafia can't/won't choose lose so they will stall. therefore we should not stall and instead lynch".

mafia is not throwing if they are nking in autoloss. but they are throwing if they nl the previous day to put themselves into a position where they have to kill into autoloss. and the town who votes no one to put maf into autoloss is also throwing.

meteor isnt helping that. A DRAW IS A LOSS NUMBNUTS. THEY ARE IN AUTOLOSS REGARDLESS. mods stepping in and handing out GT to town doesnt change that

So if mafia gets into those positions of autoloses or impasses they should be able to either draw or try to lynch their cc instead of just automatically losing by not playing their cards. For instance in a game of b2ns, blue dies n1 blue lynched d1 blue dies n2 doc and gf cc and miller bleeds town leading to the hooker being lynched. If there was no meteor, there would be an impasse if that strategy was implemented and the game would drag on forever without the meteor or town growing the balls to lynch someone. It's not really fair for mafia to take a loss just because ONE FREAKIN MEMBER OF THEIR TEAM GOT LYNCHED.
