Well there's usually too little evidence, so doing it at the end is the smartest course of action. Nothing wrong with a one day pause. Longer ones, well, they are bad.

I guess but with 10 games to go if you have a suspicion in the last two days and not before that time, maybe it'd be wiser to follow that suspicion earlier rather than later; 10 games shouldn't make or break a suspicion is what I'm saying.

If you get the suspicion only at the end then sure I guess
