Generally yes, we try to handle reports within the day they're taken. We're human though and sometimes forget about things for a while, and a lot of those reports are legitimately hard to rule on so having a few nights to rest on them can be useful.

Just remember the proportion of 10 day reports to those handled that day is staggeringly low.

Another dumb thing is taking a break from a site because you (fairly) didn't get to play a heart you wouldn't have been able to play in the first place

@bear i'm talking about a general rule of thumb. I remember last round I saw runwithfire had 3 reports in progress that would have been easy to moderate but had been left unchecked for days.

By the way, if a mod has a report in progress for more than 3 days, I think that should be justifiable for another mod to snipe the report. Usually makes the other mod upset because they wanted to preserve a report, but sometimes they just forget to finish the report even if it's a simple report.

the report wasn't in IP for that long. it was only the appeal and refund request that were in IP for a sustained amount of time.

And 4.5 years after joining EpicMafia.com, I have finally won as many trophies as fourth places.

The mods involved have been pretty apologetic about the whole incident, so I don't know what you're trying to accomplish. I understand that you're bitter about it, though; I would be too.

However, suspending you from the round was the only feasible option after the heart was refunded.. The only negative effect from that is the stigma associated with it, which is unfortunate, but hopefully that's been cleared up now.

If a mistake can be fixed, you fix it. Its pretty simple. Steps are being taken by Slow (who made a thread about further clarifying the meteor rule) to ensure this sort of thing doesn't repeat itself. To be honest if I had handled the report personally this probably would have happened so I don't blame anyone at all here.
