it would be a violation if he had not taken advantage of it. stop playing this game and go play mario or something if you think one shouldnt take advantage of ignorance of other people
Any player with a reasonable level of experience would have won that game and we wouldn't have been fooled by the poor logic. It's a nuisance getting n1ed in a situation like that (would've played out differently with the mafia reveal but still could've contributed to the lynch).
You may as well just rename this thread to "Shouldn't be a thread" and delete all of the comments/OP.
He played to his win condition.
The game owns actually, alex could've spent time explaining everything to the new player but chose to just insult him instead.
I don't see anything wrong with that game (although alex's comments weren't necessary) since this is a game of deception, and so long as it's within bounds it doesn't matter if someone is bwing you because you made the better argument or if they simply don't know better
I have to say it's really annoying, though, when people lie about role logic to inexperienced players. That's probably already against rules in ranked though, but I see it all the time in unranked and THAT is a real nuisance. I don't really see it here though but the topic made me think of it
Well you can deceive somebody using 'copy + paste' and thats a reportable offence.
The entire game hinges upon deception and manipulation, and is fundamentally about a knowledge divide betwixt two sides, in the case of new players that divide is even deeper but it's still the same. New players shouldn't exist in some vacuum protected from the fundamental purpose of the game.
And I'm not on about his misdeeds, I'm on about someone using him to get a quick and instant win.
alexandra:
'btw cupcake'
'you need to get better at playing'
'as my mafia partner, you didn't claim'
'as mafia, you killed me when i was blue'
'and as blue, you kill me when I'm cop'
'I give up, I can't have such a high lose rate'
they're just playing to their win condition.
it's just a game, you're bound to lose some because of less experienced people. there's no reason to get mad and say "16:01 NotAClue
cupcake, you sir, are a *** **. why play ranked games when you cant play them?"
just take a minute to let them know what they did wrong and how they can do better next time, you'll find it's not as big of a deal as it seems to be. nobody's going to be encouraged to learn more about the game by being called a ***.
