just follow the precedents and stop changing everything. just keep the things as it is. follow the rules. and nobody will criticize you. you are not making anything better by not following precedents. the site works quite well. it wont matter who is admin if the rules are followed properly. just stop favoring friends (which currently all the mods do).

As for admin considerations.
I don't really know who the candidates are and who still /wants/ to admin this site.
Sachy & Shacky balance eachother out nicely and would easily make a great team. Steven would make a decent admin with his right wing man (or lady) Bronto & someone who keeps him level-headed and is able to call him on his s*** would make an acceptable team
@brown- these idiots are trying to change things for no reason
-- they dont follow precedencts

-- they ban setups they dont like
-- they ban roles they dont like
-- they do all the stuff that are wrong
but i just take advantage of things
@bear- dont ask who is a better admin-- i can do the job of the whole 20 man mod team alone and without making a single mistake. and i have literally proven that when i was mod. people worshipped my moderation skills. but im not gonna be admin. at worst i can be a mod.
the thing is that lucid doesnt care about what happens. he just wants his site to have enough traffic

My blunt criticism isn't suggesting that Bronto is a /bad/ admin. And I wouldn't go so far as to advocate for a dethroning.
Bronto's strengths are obvious. Having an HR background, he's a presidential talker. His strength is to smooth out the lumps of a bed comforter with the palms of his hands. He has a pretentious way of structuring his paragraphs in a minimally offensive way that people appreciate and can respect.
I wouldn't go as far as to say Bronto is a /good/ admin either. And on a scale of Lucid to Bronto, I'm certain majority of you would rank Bronto's quality below the midline relative to past admins. As his adminship progresses his flaws and inexperience show more and more through his bad judgement calls and blatant misunderstanding of several rules.
2 things are evident here:
1) Bronto is busy with work and can not handle an administrative position alone. He needs help to distribute the workload because lately he's been exhibiting signs of neglect toward this website and issues on this site.
2) Bronto is too inexperienced and doesn't even fully understand all of the rules. He needs someone who is more familiar to help him with this and actually fix his mistakes when people tell him he is wrong.
I'm not even going to go into all of his faults and incompetencies as an admin because it doesn't matter at this point. But if Bronto doesn't become more level-headed and continues in this nature EM will just go further downhill in the coming months. You don't see it now because the water is just beginning to seap into the cracks.

i mean yeah you can argue that if bronto is a bad admin (which i do'nt think he is) he should be deadminned, but who is actually willing to be an admin at this point and we can bet the future of the site on

Just because it can be worse/has been worse doesn't mean we should sweep the flaws in this generation of EM under the rug and pretend like things don't suck.

I mean these mods and admins aren't as bad as past ones. It's not ideal but it can and has been a lot worse.

I don't think it's a good idea to wear rose-coloured glasses during your modship simply because the admin listens to you, allows you to walk over him, and plays HR-buddy when your feelings get hurt.
Having a false sense of security doesn't mean that there aren't huge red flags that keep getting ignored, and that there aren't many issues caused by Bronto.
Comparing one extreme to the other is silly, but that's what everyone is doing instead of judging someone's quality and competancy for what it really is.
