Kudos to Delicate/zaychonek for inspiring this thread.
So sometimes there are threads in forum games and such where someone hosts something (like a game, or anything really) for a certain amount of time and get tired of it or they don't have as much time to update it ect. There should be an option when you edit thread to 'pass' it to another user, thus' giving them the right to edit and update as they please.
This process is used in families on EM, you can make another user the leader of the family

if you would like there to be a way to pass a thread onto another user.
Also what if the owner of the thread is only gone for a little while, it would be anooying to have someone just keep copying and pasting old thread and if the cycle continues of people leaving then their are just threads left around the forums, yes you can delete it but you would have to wait until someone is able to make the time to copy and paste and such. Idk I'm literally just going to disagree with whoever says no because you guys are probably those people who prefer mailing letters over email.
this sums up almost every site update in recent memory
Yeah but I mean, if you really need to give permissions, you just need to
A) OP close original thread B) new admin of the thread opens a new one copying and pasting the original post and saying theyre running it now C) contact forum mod if needed to be stickied
