How do you change your main?

If you change mains and try you still need to wait the 8 hours due to a glitch that tells you your old main is linked to your computer. There's no way around it other than changing your main, logging out, unplugging your router, waiting a bit, then plugging it back in and logging in with your new main.

I don't even think it's possible to sign into a linked ALT account anyways

Click the red arrow. You can't log in directly to a linked alt, only through this screen or clicking the arrow by your username in the top right.

No, you log into your main only. Then you click the arrow on the top right corner (next to your PM's) to switch
